FJU Visits Sunjsong's IoT Center to Witness IPC-CFX & Hermes Standards in Action
Bridging Academia and Industry: FJU Visits Sunjsong to Observe International Smart Manufacturing Standards
[New Taipei City] To narrow the gap between academic theory and industrial application, Sunjsong recently hosted a delegation of faculty and students from Fu Jen Catholic University (FJU). The visit took place at Sunjsong’s "Smart IoT Demonstration Center," where the company opened its facility to provide an in-depth look at how cutting-edge AI smart manufacturing technologies are implemented in a real-world environment.

From Classroom to Factory Floor: Witnessing the Power of CFX and Hermes
The core of this visit was to demonstrate the practical application of Industrial IoT (IIoT) technologies. Sunjsong’s technical team demonstrated to the FJU delegation how IPC-CFX (Connected Factory Exchange) achieves vertical data integration across the factory, and how The Hermes Standard (IPC-HERMES-9852) enables efficient horizontal Machine-to-Machine (M2M) communication.
By walking through a live smart production line, students were able to move beyond textbook theory and intuitively understand how data flows seamlessly between heterogeneous equipment. This experience not only validated their academic knowledge but also allowed these future engineers to appreciate the critical role of standardized communication protocols in modern smart factories.
